Starting Your Own Business

blue button Scope of advice

The advice provided is wide-ranging. For some individuals setting up their own business is a possible option perhaps following their departure from an employment and they need assistance in the format/structure of the business, preparing business plans, considering the raising of finance and the preparation of business plans etc.

In many instances where we become involved the individual already has a firm business idea/plan and needs assistance on the practical issues such as tax and national insurance, registration for VAT and completing quarterly returns, record keeping and completion of self-assessment tax return etc.

Individuals will need to consider how they replace certain key employee benefits they may have previously enjoyed as part of their employment on a personal/business basis including the most efficient basis for retirement/pension planning for the future.

We have assisted many individuals with all the personal finance implications of starting their own business and have considerable expertise in this area and contacts with other specialist professional advisors (including chartered accountants, career management consultants etc.) who can provide additional assistance where appropriate.
